Our Cheltenham Centre is looking to appoint an experienced Used Car Sales Manager to manage and lead our BMW Used Car department. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in a sales managerial role within the motor trade, be highly motivated, be able to successfully drive performance, have strong leadership and communication skills and be committed to achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. A full UK Drivers licence is essential.

Contract: Permanent

Location: Cheltenham

Working Hours: 45 hours per week Monday to Sunday on a rota basis

Role and Responsibilities.

To develop and agree Sales Plans and Budgets for used cars, accessories and overheads to achieve marketing sales and financial targets. To organise direct and oversee the activities of used car sales team and administrative support to achieve plans and budgets ensuring optimum use of materials, financial and personnel resources. The role will include ensuring the department maximises all used car sales opportunities, managing the used car team and monitor the availability of used car stock.

You will be responsible for:

  • To ensure the BMW Enquiry process is followed and meets the standards as defined within the BMW Regional Manager Review document.
  • Resolution of problems in an effective and timely manner.
  • Motivate and create commission plans to ensure sales executives reach target
  • Guide and train used car sales executives as required.
  • Maintain effective departmental relationships throughout the centre to assist in the achievement of organisational goals.
  • Establish administrative procedures to ensure smooth handling of business.
  • To use an approved FCA approach in the sale and presentation of Financial Products.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of Enquiry Management.
  • Regularly review/appraise the Used Car Sales Team, ensuring all documentation is sent to the HR department.
  • Report team absence in line with company policy.
  • Authorise holiday requests in a timely manner, ensuring departmental cover at all times.
  • To ensure budget is not exceeded without the Head of Business authority.
  • Not to take or fail to take any trading actions that could endanger the continuance of our franchise agreements.

Candidate Profile.

  • Have previous experience in a Sales Managerial Role.
  • A well-presented individual with a desire and the character and attitude to succeed.
  • Have strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Be able to successfully drive performance
  • Full UK Drivers Licence.
